Your Employment Arrangements

Points

You have a full-time job offer that has been approved by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC):
  • Your work permit is valid for 12 or more months after you apply for a permanent resident visa.
  • Your employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job if your application is successful
Note: You cannot arrange for an HRSDC confirmation. Your employer must do this

You are currently working in Canada on a temporary work visa (including sectoral confirmation) and:
  • Your work permit is valid for 12 or more months after you apply for a permanent resident visa.
  • Your employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job if your application is successful

If you are currently working in Canada in a job that is HRSDC confirmation-exempt under an international agreement or a significant-benefit category (e.g, an intra-company transferee) and:
  • Your work permit is valid for 12 or more months after you apply for a permanent resident visa.
  • Your employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job if your application is successful
